Daphne: Teapot sculpture

Daphne is a high fired ceramic teapot sculpture finished in underglazes.

Daphne has pink braided hair and her dress is paris green with a blue cicada pattern and floral sprigs. She is accompanied by two red budgerigars with pink chests. Her head has  a slight wobble if moved, but has a very long post on her neck so there is no danger of it falling off.

It is a one of a kind ceramic sculpture that has deliberate painterly brush strokes and a whimsical illustrative quality. Please handwash to help prolong the life of of your sculpture.

Avoid pouring boiling water into the teapot if it’s cold, it helps to avoid cracking if you warm the pot with some warm water first.
