Ember is a high fired ceramic lamp finished in underglazes. Ember has a black cockatoo that is entwined about her head, she has a skull face piece ,blue banksias growing from her body and a pile of matches surrounding her.
There is a mystical sorceress aura with this sculpture. She is my version of an ancient and strong feminine force who listens to her inner voice and doesn’t suffer fools.
She is a one of a kind sculpture that has deliberate painterly brush strokes and a whimsical illustrative quality.
Lamp is wired for Australian 240 volt usage.
